The Nationals
Nine members have recently competed at the Nationals which were held in Melbourne. For more information see "News and Notes".
Champion Lakes.
Members have been competing regularly in regattas around the State, usually held at Champion Lakes, at times combining with Bunbury and Denmark paddlers. (For photos click here)
The Denmark Marathon
Five members joined the Denmark paddlers to travel more than 20 kms along the beautiful Frankland River. This was a try out for the first marathon. Up to six teams should be competing on the 19th May 2012
Rowing on the Kalgan River
Our aluminium boat was launched on the Kalgan river and we then swopped rides with members of the local rowing club. It was quite a challenge, moving backwards and coping with a large single oar.
Coaching with Marco (W.A.'s Head Coach)
On last Sunday the 9th October, we were treated to a full mornings coaching by Marco Celenza, both on the water, with Marco observing and coaching from the boat, then coaching from the sweep's positon. Further coaching and debriefing followed on land. (For photos click here)
